Stages:

1. From August 5, 2013: Download Phase - The remix parts will be available on the Bandcamp page of the label. darkandsonorous.bandcamp.com/album/remix-contest-necrosis-feat-liane-land

2. August 12 – September 9: Upload / Submission Phase - Upload your remix to soundcloud.com/groups/remix-contest-variant-necrosis-feat-liane-land During this phase the remixes can be listened to. You should include in your SoundCloud link of the remix, the email you use on your Bandcamp account to buy the sounds of the contest. For example: “Variant – Necrosis feat. Liane Land (Jumex Remix) – darkandsonorous@gmail.com” This is an example of how it will be the name of your remix on Soundcloud. With this we can prove that you bought the original sounds of the contest. If you do not upload the remix exactly as requested above, then remix will not be accepted into the contest page on soundcloud.

3. August 12 – September 9: Voting Phase - The public votes for their favorite remixes (The number of votes that can reach each track can influence the election, but the final decision has Dark and Sonorous Recordings). Between September 9 and September 15 Dark and Sonorous Recordings choose 3 winning remixes.


Contest Rules:


1. Genre we accept is Techno.

2. When uploading the remix to the track soundcloud group must be complete. (NOT ACCEPT PREVIEW).

3. Remixes using “uncleared” samples will be disqualified. An “uncleared sample” is a musical work, loop or sample that is copyrighted (ie: you didn’t create it). Entrant(s) are free to use royalty-free loops, stems and samples and/or sounds the entrant(s) has originally created.

4. The winning remix will become the legal property of Dark and Sonorous Recordings. Your remix contest submission becomes the legal property of the record label hosting the competition as protection against the release of unauthorized remixes.

5. Remixes should be in the best quality (16 bit, 44100 khz, WAV quality master file).

6. All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix or remix parts is prohibited.

7. Dark and Sonorous Recordings not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury or upset caused to or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition. Dark and Sonorous Recordings further accept no liability for any damage caused to any person’s computer or other electronic device relating to or resulting from downloading any materials, including so called computer viruses, in connection with this competition. Nothing shall exclude us from our liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.

8. Release and Indemnity: By completing and submitting an entry for the Contest, Participant agrees to abide by the terms of these official rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest. Except where prohibited by law, each winner consents to the use of their name, likeness (including photographs and video of participant), and entry (with the exception of the winner’s contact information, including address, telephone number and email address) in any manner by Dark and Sonorous Recordings without any further consent or compensation, unless prohibited by law. Dark and Sonorous Recordings Parties shall not be responsible for any damages, taxes, or expenses that any winner might incur as a result of the Contest. All Contest participants and winner agree that Dark and Sonorous Recordings will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, liabilities, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest or acceptance.

9. The winning artist will receive 25% of the proceeds of the remix on Beatport, Bandcamp and Junodownload.

10. The winning artist will be part of Dark and Sonorous Recordings and will have a place to throw a release of the amount of track that the artist wants.

11. The winning remix comes out September 30, 2013 on Beatport with other remixes.

12. Your submission of a remix in this Contest constitutes your agreement to these Rules.
